Frequently Asked Questions

How long does delivery usually take?

  • Star Citizen ship, ccu, paints, items orders are usually delivered within 20–30 minutes. In rare cases, delivery may take up to 12 hours due to order volume, RSI gifting limits, account status, or manual verification requirements.
  • In most cases, we do not allow ship deliveries to exceed 12 hours unless there is an exceptional issue such as RSI system limitations, account restrictions, or required customer verification.

Is my ship order protected?

  • Yes. Security and reliability are our top priorities. All ships sold by LTI Hangar come from our own inventory, with no external sellers or unknown third-party suppliers involved.
  • Each ship order is handled with clear delivery records, allowing the delivery process to be reviewed and traced if support is ever needed. We also provide 6-month after-sale protection for eligible delivery-related issues.
  • This level of own-stock control, traceable delivery, and after-sale protection is not commonly offered by many third-party marketplaces, which is why many customers choose LTI Hangar for safer Star Citizen ship purchases.

What is the 6-month after-sale protection? Why Other Marketplaces Cannot Offer This?

  • In the extremely rare event that an issue occurs with an item during delivery or within up to 6 months after delivery has been completed, we will conduct an investigation. If it is determined that the issue was caused by our fault, we will provide either a replacement or a refund.
  • To help us review the case accurately, you may be required to assist us by providing relevant evidence, such as RSI Hangar screenshots, order details, and RSI Hangar Log records.
  • The RSI Hangar Log can help track the status and history of each ship, including whether the item was claimed, exchanged, melted, transferred, or otherwise changed after delivery. We will review the evidence you provide to determine the cause of the issue.
  • This level of protection is not commonly offered by many third-party marketplaces because they often rely on external sellers or mixed inventory sources. At LTI Hangar, all ships come from our own inventory, and each order has clear delivery records, allowing us to provide safer and more reliable support.

Can I request a refund after claiming the ship, ccu, paints, items?

  • Once the RSI gift has been claimed, the ship, ccu, paints, items becomes bound to the receiving RSI account. Due to the limitations of the Star Citizen gifting system, a claimed ship normally cannot be gifted again, returned, reversed, or re-delivered. For this reason, claimed items are normally not eligible for cancellation or refund.
  • A correction, replacement, or refund may only be provided if we confirm that the issue was caused by our side, such as a wrong item being sent, an order delivery error, or another verified delivery issue caused by us.
  • Before claiming the RSI gift, please make sure you are logged into the correct RSI account. Once the gift is claimed to the wrong account, it normally cannot be moved to another account.

What happens if the wrong ship, ccu, paints, items is delivered?

If we confirm that the wrong item was delivered due to our error, we will review the case and provide a correction, replacement, or refund where applicable. Please contact us with your order number, checkout email, and clear screenshots of your RSI Hangar.

Why are the names of the Star Citizen ships I received different?

Standalone CCU'ed is a complete ship or vehicle. It is not an upgrade! CCU'ed simply means that it was created by upgrading a smaller ship or vehicle to the one you are buying. Please also note that in the gift email, only the ship that was used as the base for upgrading will be named. Please don't worry, the actual ship you will see in your hangar will be the one you've ordered.

For example, this is how a CCU'ed Polaris looks like in hangar on RSI website.

Drake Vulture Standalone Ship Gameplay Guide

The Drake Vulture is a single-seat light salvage ship built for Star Citizen players who want hull scraping, structural salvage, component recovery, an internal cargo area, crew habitation, and a hands-on industrial gameplay loop that can be operated alone.

It is not a cargo hauler, mining ship, combat vessel, repair platform, towing ship, or large-scale industrial processor. The Vulture is best understood as the classic solo salvage ship: a compact Drake work vessel equipped with dual scraper beams, a dedicated tractor system, an onboard scrap processor, enhanced salvage scanning, and enough internal space to recover both processed material and selected components.

RSI presents the Vulture as a self-reliant light industrial salvager designed to scrape, process, and break down wrecks without requiring a larger crew. Its dedicated Ripper salvage rig combines dual scraper beams with a Lariot tractor system, while its onboard processor converts recovered material into saleable output.

The safest product-page positioning is simple:
The Vulture is the salvage ship you choose for a hands-on solo recovery loop, structural-salvage capability, and protected internal cargo — not for automatic box loading, combat, maximum cargo volume, or heavy industrial throughput.

Build Your Drake Industrial Fleet with the Vulture

The Vulture is one of Star Citizen’s more recognizable personal industrial ships. It gives one player the tools required to locate a wreck, assess its value, scrape the hull, fracture the remaining structure, process the material, recover selected components, and transport the results for sale.

RSI’s current salvage guide classifies the Vulture as a light salvager and distinguishes it from larger industrial ships such as the Argo MOTH and Aegis Reclaimer.

If you are looking to acquire this Drake salvage ship, you can explore our available options in the Star Citizen Ships and Vehicles Collection.

Drake Vulture Key Specifications

RSI’s original Q&A confirms a 12-SCU secured cargo grid, one-person operation, dedicated salvage scanning, live-aboard facilities, and full equipment for scraping, processing, and ship breaking. A newer official Fortune comparison states that the Vulture can currently hold additional salvage inside its internal cargo area beyond the secured grid, although only part of that space represents the official cargo grid.

Specification Drake Vulture Gameplay Meaning

Status Flight Ready Available for current salvage gameplay.
Crew 1 Flight, salvage tools, processing, and cargo are designed around one operator.
Official Cargo Grid 12 SCU Secured cargo space recognized as the ship’s standard cargo grid.
Current Practical Internal Salvage Reference Additional manually arranged internal salvage space beyond the 12-SCU secured grid Experienced pilots can currently carry more salvage internally, but loose or off-grid boxes may reduce convenience, movement, and normal secured-grid behavior.
Salvage Rig Ripper salvage system Integrated Drake recovery equipment.
Scraper Beams Dual integrated scraper beams Allows the pilot to remove hull material using two collection beams.
Tractor System Lariot tractor beam Used to manipulate wreck pieces and support salvage positioning.
Processor Integrated onboard scrap processor Converts recovered raw material into physical saleable output.
Structural Salvage Supported Can fracture and process suitable wreck structures.
Dedicated Scanner Salvage-focused scanning capability Helps identify valuable components and assess wrecks.
Cargo Location Internal cargo hold Protects most carried salvage inside the ship rather than on external racks.
Crew Facilities Live-aboard accommodation Supports longer solo sessions away from a normal base.
VTOL Capability Dedicated and main-engine VTOL support Assists planetary landing and low-altitude industrial operation.
Combat Capability Limited defensive weapons Intended to escape threats rather than fight dedicated combat ships.
Core Gameplay Scraping, processing, structural salvage, component recovery Full personal salvage workflow.

Note: The 12-SCU figure refers specifically to the official cargo grid. RSI has explained that additional items can physically be placed outside that grid, but unsecured cargo may be damaged and may not be treated normally by sales or cargo interfaces.

What Makes the Drake Vulture Valuable?

The Vulture is valuable because it gives one pilot access to the full hands-on ship-salvage profession. A general cargo vessel can remove loose components from a wreck, but it cannot perform the same integrated scraping, processing, scanning, and structural-breakdown workflow. RSI specifically explains that the Vulture is equipped for the salvage process and can identify valuable components more efficiently than a non-specialist vessel.

The Vulture is not merely a cargo ship that visits wrecks — it is the machine that turns the wreck itself into cargo.

Its defining qualities include:

  • Dual scraper beams
  • Structural-salvage capability
  • Integrated tractor system
  • Onboard material processing
  • Dedicated salvage scanner
  • Internal cargo protection
  • Solo operation
  • Live-aboard facilities
  • Component-recovery potential
  • Drake industrial construction
  • Flight Ready status
  • Clear progression into the salvage profession

The Vulture does not lead every salvage category. Its value comes from offering the major personal salvage stages inside one manageable ship.

Complete Solo Salvage Gameplay Role

The Vulture is designed for one operator. The pilot manages flight, wreck scanning, hull scraping, tractor-beam control, fracture preparation, structural processing, cargo production, box movement, component recovery, power and shields, quantum travel, and selling or unloading.

The Vulture lets one pilot complete the full salvage loop, but it does not automate every physical step of that loop.

The Vulture’s loop is complete, but more manual than the Fortune’s automatic exterior-box system. That manual cargo work is both part of its industrial experience and one of its main limitations.

Dual Hull-Scraping Beams

The Vulture’s Ripper salvage rig uses two integrated scraper beams. RSI markets these dual beams as the central tool for removing valuable material from damaged ship hulls quickly and efficiently.

The Vulture works a wreck through two scraper beams, giving it a direct and visually clear hull-recovery workflow.

The exact income from hull scraping depends on the material recovered, contract costs, market prices, travel time, salvage-head balance, and current economy tuning. The Vulture should be marketed around its workflow and role rather than a guaranteed number of credits per hour.

Structural Salvage and Ship Breaking

The Vulture can fracture and process ship structures after valuable hull material has been removed. RSI originally designed the ship as a rounded introduction to the salvage profession, including scraping, processing, and ship breaking. Structural Salvage later expanded this loop by allowing salvage ships to break abandoned hulls into processable material.

The current official salvage guide differentiates the Vulture from the Fortune by positioning the Vulture more toward structural salvage, while the Fortune places greater emphasis on scraping efficiency and cargo automation.

The Vulture is the stronger choice when you want to scrape the useful surface and then continue breaking down the remaining wreck.

The Vulture can process larger targets in sections, but that does not make it equivalent to the MOTH or Reclaimer.

Integrated Lariot Tractor System

The Vulture’s Ripper salvage rig includes a Lariot tractor beam built specifically for the ship. The tractor system assists with moving wreck pieces and managing salvage targets during processing.

The tractor beam helps bring the wreck into the Vulture’s workflow; it does not turn the ship into a dedicated towing platform.

The Vulture manipulates objects to support salvage. Towing and recovery logistics remain separate professions.

Dedicated Salvage Scanning

RSI confirms that the Vulture has enhanced scanning equipment suited to salvage. The scanner helps identify components and their condition, allowing the pilot to distinguish valuable items from low-value material before spending time removing everything from a wreck.

The Vulture’s scanner helps the pilot decide what is worth recovering before turning the entire wreck into scrap.

The scanner does not guarantee that every identified component will be valuable or undamaged. RSI notes that salvaged components are unlikely to be in pristine condition and may sell for less than new equipment.

Onboard Processing and Cargo Production

The Vulture contains an integrated processor that converts raw recovered material into saleable cargo output. RSI describes the processor as breaking down salvaged material while the tractor and scraping systems pull it in.

The Vulture does not merely collect loose debris — it processes that debris into physical cargo the pilot can transport and sell.

The production process creates an important workload that requires manual box management. This manual cycle separates the Vulture from the Fortune’s automatically loading external cargo system.

12-SCU Cargo Grid vs Practical Internal Capacity

The Vulture’s official secured cargo grid is 12 SCU. RSI’s original Q&A states that this grid is shared between produced salvage boxes and recovered items or components. It also explains that cargo placed outside the grid is less secure and may not be recognized normally by kiosks or sales systems.

However, RSI’s newer Fortune Q&A states that the Vulture can currently hold additional salvage inside its internal cargo area beyond the strict 12-SCU grid. That should not be described as conventional secured cargo capacity.

The Vulture has a 12-SCU official cargo grid, but experienced pilots can currently arrange considerably more salvage inside the hold at the cost of convenience and secure-grid behavior.

The safest product-page wording is not “39 SCU cargo.” The safer wording is: The Vulture has a 12-SCU secured grid and can currently hold additional manually arranged salvage inside its cargo area.

Manual Cargo-Box Handling

The Vulture requires the pilot to physically manage salvage boxes. This is one of the clearest differences between the Vulture and Fortune.

The Vulture gives the pilot protected internal capacity, but that protection is paid for with repeated cargo handling.

This can be satisfying for players who enjoy physicalized industrial work. It can also become repetitive during long scraping sessions.

Component Recovery

The Vulture can recover intact or partially functional ship components in addition to processing hull material. RSI explains that component recovery is one part of the salvage profession and that the Vulture’s dedicated scanner helps the pilot identify which items are worth removing.

The most valuable object on a wreck may be a component worth removing before the hull is scraped or fractured.

The Vulture’s internal hold is useful for selected components, but it is not a large component transporter. A separate cargo ship may improve larger recovery operations.

Live-Aboard Facilities

RSI intentionally included personal accommodation so a solo Vulture pilot could remain away from base for longer periods. The original Q&A explains that entry-level profession ships were given live-aboard features to support independent operation rather than forcing the owner to plan every trip as a short day excursion.

The Vulture is not only a salvage tool; it is also a small workplace the pilot can live aboard between recovery jobs.

The interior remains Drake-functional rather than luxurious. Buyers should not expect large crew rooms, passenger accommodations, or a medical bed.

VTOL and Planetary Salvage

The Vulture was designed with VTOL capability. RSI’s Q&A states that the ship has dedicated front VTOL thrusters and rear main engines capable of supporting vertical operations.

VTOL helps the Vulture operate around planetary wrecks, but it does not make the ship immune to gravity, terrain, or poor landing decisions.

Solo Gameplay Expectations

The Vulture is one of the more direct solo profession ships in Star Citizen. One pilot controls flight, scanning, scraper beams, tractor equipment, structural salvage, processing, and normal ship systems.

The Vulture is designed to work alone, but solo design does not mean every task happens without leaving the seat.

Two-Player Support Expectations

The Vulture does not require a second crew member, but another player can improve its workflow by managing physical cargo boxes or removing components.

A second player does not unlock a second salvage station, but they can remove many of the interruptions that slow the pilot down.

The Vulture is a solo ship that can participate in a small salvage team. It is not a true multicrew salvager like the MOTH or Reclaimer.

Real Player Use: Where the Vulture Feels Good

The Vulture feels best when a pilot finds a useful wreck, scrapes its valuable surface, organizes the recovered boxes, removes one or two worthwhile components, and then processes the remaining structure.

The Vulture feels complete when the pilot uses scanning, scraping, box handling, component recovery, and structural salvage during the same job.

A practical Vulture session also includes moments where the hands-on workflow becomes the main slowdown. The pilot may scrape efficiently at first, but repeated trips between the cockpit, filler station, and cargo hold can become tiring during a long session. Once extra boxes are stacked beyond the secured grid, the interior can become harder to move through, components may compete with salvage boxes for space, and leaving quickly can feel less clean. The Vulture feels best when the player enjoys physical cargo handling; it feels less convenient when the player only wants uninterrupted scraping.

When the Vulture’s Advantage Becomes Less Important

The Vulture should not be presented as the best industrial ship for every player. Its advantage becomes less important when the player dislikes moving cargo boxes manually or requires heavy industrial volume.

When manual cargo handling and structural salvage are not part of the desired experience, the Vulture loses much of what separates it from the Fortune or a larger salvage platform.

Combat and Survivability Expectations

The Vulture is an industrial ship, not a combat ship. Its defensive equipment exists to provide limited protection while the pilot escapes, not to encourage bounty hunting or piracy.

The Vulture’s safest combat strategy is to notice the attacker before the attacker reaches weapons range.

Who Should Buy the Drake Vulture?

The Drake Vulture is best for players who want a hands-on solo salvage experience. It is especially suitable for solo industrial pilots, regular salvage players, Drake Interplanetary fans, and pilots interested in structural salvage who prefer internal cargo grids over exposed racks.

It is also a useful fleet addition for players who already have cargo or combat roles covered. A separate freight hauler can empty the Vulture's internal hold during larger group operations, allowing the pilot to continue processing targets without returning immediately to a station.

Drake Vulture FAQ

Is the Drake Vulture worth buying in Star Citizen?

Yes, if you want a dedicated solo salvage ship capable of hull scraping, structural salvage, material processing, component recovery, and internal cargo storage. It is not ideal if you want combat, automatic cargo loading, large-scale industry, or general-purpose daily utility.

Is the Drake Vulture Flight Ready?

Yes. The Vulture is Flight Ready and remains part of Drake’s current playable industrial lineup.

What is the main role of the Vulture?

The Vulture is a light industrial salvage ship designed for solo wreck recovery. It can scan, scrape, process, and break down abandoned ships.

How many crew members does the Vulture need?

The Vulture is designed around one operator. The pilot controls flight, scanning, scraping, structural salvage, processing, and normal ship systems.

Should I buy the Vulture if I dislike moving cargo boxes manually?

Probably not as your first choice. The Vulture is designed around a hands-on salvage loop, and the pilot normally needs to leave the cockpit to manage produced boxes inside the cargo hold. If you want fewer interruptions and automatic box placement, the MISC Fortune may be the better fit.

How much cargo does the Vulture have?

The official secured cargo grid is 12 SCU. Additional salvage boxes can currently be arranged inside the cargo area, and a newer official comparison states that the Vulture can hold additional salvage internally under the present layout.

Can cargo outside the grid be sold normally?

Cargo outside the official grid may not have the same security or interface recognition as properly secured cargo. RSI has warned that loose items may be damaged and may not be treated as legitimate goods by normal sales systems.

How many hull-scraping beams does the Vulture have?

It uses dual integrated scraper beams as part of its Ripper salvage rig.

Can the Vulture perform structural salvage?

Yes. The Vulture can fracture and process ship structures after or instead of scraping suitable wrecks.

Does the Vulture have a tractor beam?

Yes. Its Ripper rig includes a dedicated Lariot tractor system used to manipulate wreck pieces and support salvage work.

Does the Vulture have a bed?

Yes. RSI intentionally included live-aboard accommodations so solo pilots could remain away from base for longer salvage sessions.

Vulture or Fortune: which should I choose?

Choose the Vulture for internal cargo, manual physical salvage work, and stronger structural-salvage emphasis. Choose the Fortune for automatic exterior box placement, greater range, and a more scraping-focused workflow.

Will the Vulture’s specifications change?

Possibly. RSI’s Ship Matrix warns that vehicle specifications can change through continued design and game balancing. Salvage-head performance, cargo behavior, processing, engineering, and material values should be treated as patch-sensitive.
