How to Apply a CCU (Ship Upgrade)

If you purchased a Cross Chassis Upgrade (CCU) to transform one ship into another, follow these steps:

  1. Claim the Item: Follow the delivery steps above to add the CCU to your RSI Hangar.
  2. Locate in Hangar: Go to the "My Hangar" section on the RSI website.
  3. Apply Upgrade: Click on the arrow next to your CCU to expand the details. Click the "Apply Upgrade" button. Select the "Source Ship" you wish to upgrade and enter your RSI password to finalize the process.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does delivery usually take?

  • Star Citizen ship, ccu, paints, items orders are usually delivered within 20–30 minutes. In rare cases, delivery may take up to 12 hours due to order volume, RSI gifting limits, account status, or manual verification requirements.
  • In most cases, we do not allow ship deliveries to exceed 12 hours unless there is an exceptional issue such as RSI system limitations, account restrictions, or required customer verification.

Is my ship order protected?

  • Yes. Security and reliability are our top priorities. All ships sold by LTI Hangar come from our own inventory, with no external sellers or unknown third-party suppliers involved.
  • Each ship order is handled with clear delivery records, allowing the delivery process to be reviewed and traced if support is ever needed. We also provide 6-month after-sale protection for eligible delivery-related issues.
  • This level of own-stock control, traceable delivery, and after-sale protection is not commonly offered by many third-party marketplaces, which is why many customers choose LTI Hangar for safer Star Citizen ship purchases.

What is the 6-month after-sale protection? Why Other Marketplaces Cannot Offer This?

  • In the extremely rare event that an issue occurs with an item during delivery or within up to 6 months after delivery has been completed, we will conduct an investigation. If it is determined that the issue was caused by our fault, we will provide either a replacement or a refund.
  • To help us review the case accurately, you may be required to assist us by providing relevant evidence, such as RSI Hangar screenshots, order details, and RSI Hangar Log records.
  • The RSI Hangar Log can help track the status and history of each ship, including whether the item was claimed, exchanged, melted, transferred, or otherwise changed after delivery. We will review the evidence you provide to determine the cause of the issue.
  • This level of protection is not commonly offered by many third-party marketplaces because they often rely on external sellers or mixed inventory sources. At LTI Hangar, all ships come from our own inventory, and each order has clear delivery records, allowing us to provide safer and more reliable support.

Can I request a refund after claiming the ship, ccu, paints, items?

  • Once the RSI gift has been claimed, the ship, ccu, paints, items becomes bound to the receiving RSI account. Due to the limitations of the Star Citizen gifting system, a claimed ship normally cannot be gifted again, returned, reversed, or re-delivered. For this reason, claimed items are normally not eligible for cancellation or refund.
  • A correction, replacement, or refund may only be provided if we confirm that the issue was caused by our side, such as a wrong item being sent, an order delivery error, or another verified delivery issue caused by us.
  • Before claiming the RSI gift, please make sure you are logged into the correct RSI account. Once the gift is claimed to the wrong account, it normally cannot be moved to another account.

What happens if the wrong ship, ccu, paints, items is delivered?

If we confirm that the wrong item was delivered due to our error, we will review the case and provide a correction, replacement, or refund where applicable. Please contact us with your order number, checkout email, and clear screenshots of your RSI Hangar.

Why are the names of the Star Citizen ships I received different?

Standalone CCU'ed is a complete ship or vehicle. It is not an upgrade! CCU'ed simply means that it was created by upgrading a smaller ship or vehicle to the one you are buying. Please also note that in the gift email, only the ship that was used as the base for upgrading will be named. Please don't worry, the actual ship you will see in your hangar will be the one you've ordered.

For example, this is how a CCU'ed Polaris looks like in hangar on RSI website.

Aegis Sabre Comet Standalone Ship Gameplay Guide

The Aegis Sabre Comet is a Flight Ready special-edition Sabre stealth fighter built for Star Citizen players who want single-seat combat, low-signature fighter identity, Aegis military styling, and a collectible Masters of Flight livery. It is not a cargo ship, bomber, long-range patrol ship, heavy fighter, or multi-crew combat platform. The Sabre Comet is best understood as a collector-focused Sabre variant: the same broad stealth-fighter role as the standard Sabre, but with a special-edition identity and a tailored dogfighting loadout.

Official RSI material describes the Sabre Comet as part of the Masters of Flight series created with Arena Commander, paying tribute to famed pilot Captain Kamur Dalion. Current reference data lists the Sabre Comet as a Flight Ready Aegis single-seat stealth fighter with 1 crew, 0 SCU cargo, 24.5m length, 24.5m width, 5m height, and time-limited sale availability.

The safest product-page positioning is simple:
The Sabre Comet is the Sabre you choose when you want stealth-fighter gameplay with clearer collector identity — not because it becomes a totally different ship class.

Build Your Aegis Stealth Fighter Fleet with the Sabre Comet

The Sabre Comet is a good choice for players who like Aegis fighters, stealth-flavored combat, single-seat control, and limited-edition ship variants. If you are looking to acquire this Aegis fighter, you can explore our available options in the Star Citizen Ships and Vehicles Collection.

Current live-reference data lists the Sabre Comet with one pilot station, no cargo role, 650,000 µSCU inventory, a dedicated weapon rack, two S1 shields, and a current default loadout built around S3 cannon / scattergun weapons and S3 missiles.

What Makes the Sabre Comet Valuable?

The Sabre Comet is valuable because it combines the Sabre’s stealth-fighter identity with a special-edition story. The standard Sabre already has the Aegis stealth / space-superiority fighter role. The Comet adds the Masters of Flight identity, unique livery, and a default loadout designed around dogfighting flavor.

The Sabre Comet is not valuable because it replaces every fighter. It is valuable because it gives Sabre pilots a rarer, more collectible version of a classic Aegis stealth fighter.

That is the main buyer message. If a customer only wants the basic Sabre gameplay loop, the standard Sabre may be enough. If they want the special version, the Comet is the one to highlight.

Stealth Fighter Gameplay Role

The Sabre Comet’s core role is single-seat stealth-flavored combat. RSI’s original Sabre material describes the Sabre as a space-superiority fighter designed for situations where a lighter footprint matters, with rapid-response and battlefield-dominance language built around the Aegis combat identity.

In practical gameplay, the Sabre Comet fits several roles:

Gameplay Use Why the Sabre Comet Fits
Solo fighter combat One pilot controls the ship’s core weapons and movement.
Interception Sabre identity fits quick response and combat pressure.
Stealth-flavored operations Better for players who like lower-profile fighter design.
Dogfighting practice Current Comet loadout has a tailored dogfighting identity.
Aegis collection Good choice for collectors who already like Sabre / Aegis ships.
Limited-edition ownership Masters of Flight story gives it more collector appeal than the standard Sabre.

The Sabre Comet should be described as a single-seat stealth fighter, not a heavy fighter, cargo ship, or multi-role daily driver.

Masters of Flight Edition Identity

The Comet identity matters. The Sabre Comet was created as part of the Masters of Flight series, in conjunction with Arena Commander, as a tribute to Captain Kamur Dalion and his contributions to Aegis combat ship design.

The Comet part is about special-edition identity, history, livery, and default loadout — not a completely separate Sabre hull class.

That helps avoid customer confusion. Buyers should understand that they are buying a special Sabre variant, not a new ship category.

Weapon Layout and Dogfighting Flavor

The Sabre Comet’s current reference loadout is different from the standard Sabre’s common default combat setup. Current reference data lists the Comet with 2× S3 Omnisky IX Cannons, 2× S3 PyroBurst Scatterguns, and 4× S3 missiles. The wiki summary also describes the Comet as having a tailored dogfighting loadout with non-lethal / disabling flavor through distortion scatterguns plus laser cannons.

Weapon Layer Gameplay Meaning
2× S3 laser cannons Clean direct energy damage profile.
2× S3 distortion scatterguns Adds disabling / pressure flavor rather than pure damage only.
4× S3 missiles Useful opening or chase pressure.
Single-seat control The pilot controls the whole combat package.
The Sabre Comet is a pilot-focused fighter with a more distinctive default weapon identity than the plain Sabre.

Stealth and Signature Expectations

The Sabre family should be described carefully. It has stealth-fighter identity, but it should not be sold as invisible or impossible to detect. RSI’s Sabre concept positioned the ship around a lighter operational footprint, while current reference data tracks stealth-related signature values that can change with components, power use, loadout, and patch balance.

The Sabre Comet gives you stealth-flavored fighter gameplay, but smart flying, loadout choice, signature management, and current patch balance still matter.

This is better than promising that it can always ambush or vanish from every fight.

Solo Gameplay Expectations

The Sabre Comet is a natural solo fighter because it has 1 crew and no second-seat dependency. Current reference data lists it as a single-seat stealth fighter with one pilot station.

The Sabre Comet is easy to understand for solo combat pilots because its whole value is in the pilot’s hands.

That makes it different from ships like the Hurricane, Scorpius, Defender, or Super Hornet, where the second seat can matter a lot.

A practical Sabre Comet session should feel like a solo fighter pilot choosing when to commit, when to stay quiet, and when to leave. The pilot has no gunner, no cargo role, and no support crew to cover mistakes, so positioning and timing matter more than raw ship fantasy. The Comet’s stealth-flavored identity helps it feel different from a simple dogfighter, but it should still be flown with careful signature management, loadout awareness, and realistic expectations about current fighter balance. In real use, the Sabre Comet rewards players who want a special-edition Sabre with solo combat style, not players looking for a universal daily ship or guaranteed stealth advantage.

Cargo and Utility Expectations

The Sabre Comet has 0 SCU and should not be sold as a utility ship. It has personal inventory and weapon rack support, but that is not cargo gameplay.

Buy the Sabre Comet for combat and collector identity, not cargo, delivery, mining, salvage, medical, or daily utility.

If a buyer wants everyday usefulness, ships like the Avenger Titan, Cutlass Black, C1 Spirit, Zeus CL, or Taurus make more sense.

Direct Vehicle Comparisons

Sabre Comet vs Standard Sabre

Current reference data describes the Sabre Comet as a special-edition Sabre variant, while the standard Sabre is the original Sabre fighter designed around space-superiority and a minimized operational presence.

Ship Best For Main Difference
Sabre Comet Collectors and Sabre fans who want the Masters of Flight version Special livery, tribute identity, and tailored dogfighting loadout.
Standard Sabre Players who want the core Sabre stealth-fighter role Cleaner baseline Sabre identity without Comet collector story.
Choose the standard Sabre if you only care about the stealth-fighter platform. Choose the Sabre Comet if you want the special-edition Sabre with collector identity.

Sabre Comet vs Sabre Firebird

The Sabre Firebird is a missile-focused Sabre variant. The Sabre Comet is the dogfighting / special-edition Sabre. RSI’s Firebird material positions that variant around a heavy missile payload, making it a very different buyer choice.

Ship Best For Main Difference
Sabre Comet Stealth fighter collection and dogfighting flavor Special Masters of Flight edition with gun-focused fighter identity.
Sabre Firebird Missile-heavy strike gameplay Official Firebird material lists 24× S3 Thunderbolt missiles and dual S3 Gatlings.
Choose the Comet if you want a special Sabre fighter. Choose the Firebird if you want the missile Sabre.

Sabre Comet vs Gladius & F7A Hornet Mk II

Ship Best For Main Difference
Sabre Comet Stealth-flavored Aegis fighter gameplay Lower-profile Sabre identity and collector edition value.
Aegis Gladius Simple light-fighter dogfighting More straightforward and widely understood as a pure fighter.
F7A Hornet Mk II Military medium-fighter combat Stronger UEE Navy / Hornet combat identity.
Choose the Gladius if you want a simple dogfighter. Choose the F7A Mk II if you want the military Hornet. Choose the Sabre Comet if you want the special Aegis stealth fighter.

Sabre Comet vs Super Hornet Mk II, Hurricane & Banu Defender

Ship Best For Main Difference
Sabre Comet Aegis stealth-fighter collection and solo combat Human military style and special-edition single-seat Sabre identity.
Super Hornet Mk II Two-seat Hornet teamwork Better if the buyer wants a gunner and Anvil combat identity.
Anvil Hurricane Pilot + gunner burst damage Much stronger when two players coordinate; glass hammer layout.
Banu Defender Alien escort fighter gameplay Better if the buyer wants Banu design, range, and two-seat support.
Choose the Sabre Comet if you fly solo. Choose the Super Hornet Mk II if you want two-seat Hornet gameplay. Choose the Hurricane if you have a reliable gunner. Choose the Defender for alien escort range.

Sabre Comet vs Ares & Vanguard Warden

The Ares ships provide specialized anti-large hardware profiles, while the Vanguard line features extreme deep-space patrol endurance.

Ship Best For Main Difference
Sabre Comet Fighter combat and stealth-flavored dogfighting Smaller, more agile-feeling, and more collector-focused.
Anti-Large Platform Anti-large-ship pressure Better against larger targets with options like Ares Ion or Ares Inferno, but less suited to fighter dogfighting.
Aegis Vanguard Warden Long-range heavy-fighter endurance Better for travel, staying power, and heavier combat presence.
Choose the Ares if your target is large. Choose the Vanguard if you want endurance. Choose the Sabre Comet if you want a special-edition stealth fighter.

Cargo, Combat, and Practical Expectations

The Sabre Comet is specialized. It should not be sold as a universal ship.

If the buyer wants:

  • cargo or daily utility, choose a multi-role ship.
  • pure light-fighter simplicity, compare Gladius.
  • military Hornet identity, compare F7A Mk II.
  • two-seat firepower, compare Hurricane, Scorpius, or Super Hornet.
  • missile Sabre gameplay, compare Sabre Firebird.
  • special Sabre collector identity, choose Sabre Comet.
The Sabre Comet is valuable because it is a special Sabre, not because it replaces every fighter in the game.

Explore Sabre Comet Upgrade Paths

If you prefer to build toward the Sabre Comet from another ship, you can view our Star Citizen Sabre Comet CCU Upgrades and plan a more flexible Aegis fighter, stealth-fighter, or special-edition upgrade path over time.

For the Sabre Comet specifically, buyers should check whether the listing is standalone, upgraded, Warbond, store-credit, time-limited, or part of a pack, because current reference data lists the Comet under time-limited sales rather than normal always-available store access.

Sabre Comet vs Other Star Citizen Fighters

Ship Fleet Option Primary Core Role Compared with Sabre Comet
Sabre Comet Special-Edition Stealth Fighter Best for Masters of Flight identity and Sabre collector value.
Standard Sabre Baseline Stealth Fighter Same broad Sabre role, less special-edition appeal.
Sabre Firebird Missile Fighter Better if the buyer wants missile-heavy Sabre gameplay.
Gladius Light Fighter Simpler dogfighter; less collector-focused.
F7A Hornet Mk II Military Medium Fighter More UEE Navy / Hornet identity.
Super Hornet Mk II Two-Seat Fighter Better if the buyer wants a gunner.
Hurricane Two-Seat Glass Hammer More burst damage with a gunner; less solo-friendly.
Defender Alien Escort Fighter Better for alien range and Banu identity.
Vanguard Warden Long-Range Heavy Fighter Better for endurance and heavy-fighter travel.
Anti-Large Platform Anti-Large-Ship Fighter Better against large targets; Comet is a normal fighter. Supports Ares Ion and Ares Inferno loadouts.

Sabre Comet vs Standard Sabre

The standard Sabre is better for players who only want the baseline Sabre stealth-fighter platform. The Sabre Comet is better for players who want the same broad Sabre role with Masters of Flight identity, special livery, and a more collector-focused package. Choose the standard Sabre for the basic platform. Choose the Sabre Comet for the special-edition version.

Sabre Comet vs Sabre Firebird

The Sabre Firebird is better for players who want missile-heavy Sabre gameplay and a strike-focused loadout. The Sabre Comet is better for players who want a special-edition Sabre with dogfighting flavor and collector identity. Choose the Firebird for missiles. Choose the Comet for Masters of Flight Sabre identity.

Sabre Comet vs Gladius

The Gladius is better for players who want a simple, proven light-fighter dogfighting platform. The Sabre Comet is better for players who want Aegis stealth-fighter flavor, special-edition ownership, and a more collectible Sabre identity. Choose the Gladius for straightforward fighter use. Choose the Sabre Comet for special Sabre ownership.

Sabre Comet vs F7A Hornet Mk II

The F7A Hornet Mk II is better for players who want UEE Navy Hornet identity and more direct military medium-fighter appeal. The Sabre Comet is better for players who want Aegis stealth-fighter style and Masters of Flight collector value. Choose the F7A Mk II for military Hornet identity. Choose the Sabre Comet for special-edition Aegis stealth flavor.

Sabre Comet Strengths and Limitations

Strategic Strengths Operational Limitations
Special_edition Masters of Flight identity. Not a separate new ship class from the Sabre platform.
Clear Aegis stealth-fighter flavor. Stealth does not mean invisible or risk-free.
Single-seat control makes it solo-friendly. No turret, co-pilot, or multi-crew flexibility.
Tailored current dogfighting loadout. Default weapons and balance can change by patch.
0 SCU keeps it clearly combat-focused. No cargo, delivery, mining, salvage, or medical utility.
Good collector appeal for Sabre fans. More niche if the buyer only wants practical daily gameplay.
Compact fighter footprint. Not a long-range heavy fighter or patrol ship.

Who Should Buy the Sabre Comet?

The Sabre Comet is best for players who want a special-edition Aegis stealth fighter. It is especially suitable for Sabre fans, Aegis collectors, solo fighter pilots, Arena Commander fans, limited-edition ship collectors, and players who want something more visually distinct than the standard Sabre.

It is also a good choice for players who already own practical ships. The Sabre Comet works best as a combat and collector ship in a wider fleet: cargo ships make money, daily ships handle errands, support ships handle logistics, and the Sabre Comet comes out when the player wants focused fighter gameplay.

Players who want daily utility should choose something else. Players who want a gunner should compare Hurricane, Scorpius, or Super Hornet. Players who want heavy endurance should compare Vanguard or Guardian. But for buyers who want the special Masters of Flight Sabre, the Aegis Sabre Comet is the more direct choice.

Sabre Comet FAQ

Is the Aegis Sabre Comet worth buying in Star Citizen?

Yes, if you want a special-edition Sabre with stealth-fighter identity, single-seat combat, and Masters of Flight collector value. It is not ideal if you want cargo, daily utility, multi-crew gameplay, or heavy-fighter endurance.

Is the Sabre Comet Flight Ready?

Yes. Current reference data lists the Sabre Comet as Flight Ready, with live reference data under version 4.8.2.

What is the main role of the Sabre Comet?

The Sabre Comet is a single-seat stealth fighter. Current reference data lists its role as Stealth Fighter, while RSI’s Sabre material describes the base Sabre as a space-superiority fighter designed for lighter-footprint combat situations.

What makes the Sabre Comet different from the standard Sabre?

The Sabre Comet is a special-edition Sabre variant from the Masters of Flight series, with a unique livery and a dogfighting-tailored loadout. The standard Sabre is the baseline Sabre stealth fighter.

Should I choose the Sabre Comet or standard Sabre?

Choose the standard Sabre if you mainly want the baseline Aegis stealth-fighter platform and do not care much about special-edition identity. Choose the Sabre Comet if you want the Masters of Flight version, special livery, collector appeal, and a more distinctive default loadout reference. The Comet should be treated as a special-edition Sabre, not a completely different ship class or guaranteed performance upgrade.

Is the Sabre Comet a performance upgrade over the Sabre?

It should not be sold as a simple performance upgrade. The safer description is that it is a special-edition Sabre with collector identity and a tailored default loadout. Live performance depends on patch balance, loadout, and pilot skill.

How many crew does the Sabre Comet need?

The Sabre Comet is a single-seat fighter with 1 crew in current reference data.

Does the Sabre Comet have cargo?

No. It has 0 SCU cargo. It has personal inventory and weapon rack support, but it is not a cargo ship.

How big is the Sabre Comet?

Current reference data lists the Sabre Comet at 24.5m length, 24.5m width, and 5m height.

What weapons does the Sabre Comet have?

Current reference data lists the Sabre Comet with 2× S3 Omnisky IX Cannons, 2× S3 PyroBurst Scatterguns, and 4× S3 missiles.

Is the Sabre Comet good for solo players?

Yes. It is a single-seat fighter, so solo pilots can use its full core role without needing a gunner or co-pilot.

Is the Sabre Comet good for PvE?

Yes, for combat-focused PvE where a single-seat fighter makes sense. It is not useful for cargo, hauling, or utility missions.

Is the Sabre Comet good for PvP?

It can be useful in PvP, but it should not be marketed as a guaranteed meta ship. Its value depends on current fighter balance, loadout, matchup, stealth behavior, and pilot skill.

Is the Sabre Comet better than the standard Sabre?

It is better if the buyer values special-edition identity, Masters of Flight story, and Comet styling. The standard Sabre is enough if the buyer only wants the basic Sabre stealth-fighter role.

Is the Sabre Comet better than the Sabre Firebird?

They serve different buyers. The Comet is the special dogfighting / collector Sabre, while the Firebird is the missile-heavy Sabre variant with a much larger missile payload.

Is the Sabre Comet better than the Gladius?

The Sabre Comet is better if the buyer wants Aegis stealth-fighter flavor and special-edition ownership. The Gladius is better if the buyer wants a simpler, more traditional light fighter.

Is the Sabre Comet better than the F7A Hornet Mk II?

The Sabre Comet is better for stealth-flavored Aegis fighter ownership. The F7A Hornet Mk II is better if the buyer wants military Hornet identity and a more direct UEE Navy medium-fighter feel.

Is the Sabre Comet better than the Hurricane?

The Sabre Comet is better for solo fighter pilots. The Hurricane is better if the buyer has a reliable gunner and wants two-seat burst damage.

Is the Sabre Comet better than the Defender?

The Sabre Comet is better for human Aegis stealth-fighter flavor. The Banu Defender is better if the buyer wants alien escort range, Banu design, and two-seat support.

Is the Sabre Comet better than the Vanguard Warden?

No, not for long-range endurance. The Vanguard Warden is better for heavy-fighter travel and staying power. The Sabre Comet is better for smaller stealth-fighter gameplay and collector appeal.

Is the Sabre Comet time-limited?

Current reference data lists the Sabre Comet under time-limited sales, with no rent availability. Buyers should check the exact listing format carefully.

Does the Sabre Comet have good long-term value?

Yes, for the right buyer. The Sabre Comet has collector-focused long-term value for Aegis collectors, Sabre fans, solo fighter pilots, and players who want a special-edition stealth fighter. Its main limitation is clear: it is combat-only and collector-focused, with no cargo, utility, or multi-crew role.
