Frequently Asked Questions

How long does delivery usually take?

  • Star Citizen ship, ccu, paints, items orders are usually delivered within 20–30 minutes. In rare cases, delivery may take up to 12 hours due to order volume, RSI gifting limits, account status, or manual verification requirements.
  • In most cases, we do not allow ship deliveries to exceed 12 hours unless there is an exceptional issue such as RSI system limitations, account restrictions, or required customer verification.

Is my ship order protected?

  • Yes. Security and reliability are our top priorities. All ships sold by LTI Hangar come from our own inventory, with no external sellers or unknown third-party suppliers involved.
  • Each ship order is handled with clear delivery records, allowing the delivery process to be reviewed and traced if support is ever needed. We also provide 6-month after-sale protection for eligible delivery-related issues.
  • This level of own-stock control, traceable delivery, and after-sale protection is not commonly offered by many third-party marketplaces, which is why many customers choose LTI Hangar for safer Star Citizen ship purchases.

What is the 6-month after-sale protection? Why Other Marketplaces Cannot Offer This?

  • In the extremely rare event that an issue occurs with an item during delivery or within up to 6 months after delivery has been completed, we will conduct an investigation. If it is determined that the issue was caused by our fault, we will provide either a replacement or a refund.
  • To help us review the case accurately, you may be required to assist us by providing relevant evidence, such as RSI Hangar screenshots, order details, and RSI Hangar Log records.
  • The RSI Hangar Log can help track the status and history of each ship, including whether the item was claimed, exchanged, melted, transferred, or otherwise changed after delivery. We will review the evidence you provide to determine the cause of the issue.
  • This level of protection is not commonly offered by many third-party marketplaces because they often rely on external sellers or mixed inventory sources. At LTI Hangar, all ships come from our own inventory, and each order has clear delivery records, allowing us to provide safer and more reliable support.

Can I request a refund after claiming the ship, ccu, paints, items?

  • Once the RSI gift has been claimed, the ship, ccu, paints, items becomes bound to the receiving RSI account. Due to the limitations of the Star Citizen gifting system, a claimed ship normally cannot be gifted again, returned, reversed, or re-delivered. For this reason, claimed items are normally not eligible for cancellation or refund.
  • A correction, replacement, or refund may only be provided if we confirm that the issue was caused by our side, such as a wrong item being sent, an order delivery error, or another verified delivery issue caused by us.
  • Before claiming the RSI gift, please make sure you are logged into the correct RSI account. Once the gift is claimed to the wrong account, it normally cannot be moved to another account.

What happens if the wrong ship, ccu, paints, items is delivered?

If we confirm that the wrong item was delivered due to our error, we will review the case and provide a correction, replacement, or refund where applicable. Please contact us with your order number, checkout email, and clear screenshots of your RSI Hangar.

Why are the names of the Star Citizen ships I received different?

Standalone CCU'ed is a complete ship or vehicle. It is not an upgrade! CCU'ed simply means that it was created by upgrading a smaller ship or vehicle to the one you are buying. Please also note that in the gift email, only the ship that was used as the base for upgrading will be named. Please don't worry, the actual ship you will see in your hangar will be the one you've ordered.

For example, this is how a CCU'ed Polaris looks like in hangar on RSI website.

MISC Hull D Standalone Ship Gameplay Guide

The MISC Hull D is a capital-class heavy freight ship built for Star Citizen players who want very large cargo capacity, long-haul logistics, organization-scale trading, and a clear step above the Hull C. Designed by Musashi Industrial and Starflight Concern, the Hull D is not a daily driver, ground vehicle carrier, combat ship, or flexible multi-role platform. It is a large-scale commercial freighter made for players and organizations that want to move huge amounts of cargo across long-distance trade routes.

Unlike internal-cargo ships such as the C2 Hercules, Starlancer MAX, or Constellation Taurus, the Hull D is part of the MISC Hull series and is built around an external telescoping cargo spindle. This makes it very high-capacity for freight volume, but also more specialized. It is a ship for planned logistics, not casual landing-zone hauling.

RSI’s current Hull D ship page lists it as Heavy Freight, In Development, with 6,912 SCU cargo capacity and max crew 5. The official Hull D Q&A also describes it as a long-haul cargo vessel that can make multiple jumps before refueling and sits between the more maneuverable Hull C and the much larger Hull E.

Build Your MISC Freight Fleet with the Hull D

The Hull D is one of the more important long-term cargo ships for players who want to build a large trading or logistics fleet. If you are looking to acquire this MISC capital freighter, you can explore our available options in the Star Citizen Ships and Vehicles Collection.

Cargo Capacity 6,912 SCU Very large cargo volume, far beyond most internal-cargo ships.
Length 209m reference Capital-scale freighter size; much larger than Hull C, C2, or Starlancer MAX.
Size Class Capital Large logistics ship, not a small crew daily driver.

Cargo System External telescoping cargo spindle Built for large-scale freight containers rather than internal vehicle/cargo bay utility.
Core Gameplay Long-haul trade, bulk freight, org logistics Best for players who want commercial fleet operations, not general multi-role use.

Note: The Hull D is still in development. Exact cargo behavior, docking, loading, weapons, components, insurance value, and balance may change before final release. For product pages, use “In Development / concept-stage reference” wording rather than presenting it as a finished current gameplay ship.

What Makes the Hull D Valuable?

The Hull D is valuable because it gives players access to one of the largest dedicated cargo roles in Star Citizen without going all the way to the Hull E. It is meant for players who want more than the Hull C can offer, but who do not want the full scale, risk, and operating burden of the largest Hull-series freighter.

Its main selling point is simple: 6,912 SCU cargo capacity. That puts the Hull D in a very different category from ships like the Taurus, Starlancer MAX, C2 Hercules, Caterpillar, or even Hull C. It is not just a bigger cargo ship. It is a commercial logistics platform.

The Hull D also has clear organization value. RSI’s Hull D description says it is affordable enough for mid-sized organizations and companies, often used as a flagship for mercantile operations, but its bulk means it should be escorted outside safe space.

Heavy Freight Gameplay Role

The Hull D’s main role is large-scale cargo transport. It is designed for players who want to move huge amounts of goods across major routes, especially between stations, orbital facilities, and safer trade corridors.

In practical fleet planning, the Hull D fits several roles:

Gameplay Use Why the Hull D Fits
Bulk cargo trading 6,912 SCU makes it a large freight and logistics platform.
Organization logistics Can support supply-chain movement for large groups.
Station-to-station freight External cargo system fits orbital and industrial cargo operations better than ground delivery.
Trade fleet flagship Large enough to act as the center of a mercantile operation.
Long-haul commercial routes Q&A describes the Hull D as capable of multiple jumps before refueling.
Escorted convoy gameplay Its value and size make escorts important outside safe space.

The Hull D should not be described as a flexible cargo ship. It is a bulk freight specialist.

Cargo Capacity and External Spindle System

The Hull D’s main selling point is its cargo capacity, but the way it carries cargo matters just as much as the number. The Hull series is built around a manned cab, drive unit, and telescoping cargo spindle, with cargo attached externally rather than carried in a normal internal bay.

This gives the Hull D very large freight potential, but it also means the ship has a different workflow from internal haulers. It is not the kind of ship you buy to drive vehicles into the back, land at random outposts fully loaded, or do casual box missions.

Official Hull-series material states that every Hull ship can land while contracted, but the Hull C, D, and E typically deposit cargo at automated orbital yards before landing to dock.

The Hull D is built for large-scale freight corridors, not casual ground loading or vehicle transport.

Long-Haul Logistics and Refueling

The Hull D is designed as a long-haul freight ship. RSI’s Hull D Q&A says it will be capable of making multiple jumps before refueling and can also be refueled in flight by a Starfarer or similar tanker.

This matters because the Hull D is not only about one big cargo number. Its identity is tied to long-distance trade routes and commercial logistics. A properly supported Hull D could become the center of convoy gameplay, where escorts, scouts, tankers, and cargo operators all work together.

The Hull D is best understood as a long-haul freight ship for planned logistics routes, not a casual solo hauler for quick local jobs.

Solo and Crew Gameplay

The Hull D’s older official Q&A says the captain seat was intended to access all crew functions, making solo operation possible in concept. However, the same answer warns that managing multiple turrets during a fight would be challenging, and that more crew will always be beneficial.

The Hull D may be movable by one pilot, but it is not a truly solo-efficient ship.

A practical Hull D operation starts before the ship leaves port. The captain needs to decide whether the route is worth the cargo risk, whether the destination has the right freight infrastructure, and whether escorts are needed for the route. A loadmaster or logistics player should think about container handling, cargo value, and timing, while scouts or escort pilots check whether the route is safe enough for a ship carrying this much external cargo. In real use, the Hull D should feel less like a casual hauler and more like a planned trade operation: choose the route, prepare the cargo, protect the ship, move between major freight points, and avoid exposing a loaded Hull D without support.

A practical Hull D crew may include:

Crew Role Purpose
Captain / Pilot Handles route planning, flight, docking, and major trade decisions.
Co-Pilot Supports navigation, systems, shields, and communication.
Loadmaster Manages cargo workflow, cargo panels, containers, and logistics.
Engineer Helps keep the ship running during long-haul operations.
Turret / Defense Crew Supports defensive coverage if the ship is attacked.
Escort Pilots Protect the Hull D outside safe space.

This makes the Hull D much better for organizations than casual solo players. A solo owner may still value it as a long-term asset, but the ship’s full value comes from crew, planning, and support.

Escort and Risk Management

The Hull D is a high-value target. A fully loaded Hull D may carry more cargo value than many smaller fleets combined. RSI’s Hull D description specifically says its bulk means it should be operated with escort fighters when not in safe space.

This is one of the most important points for a trustworthy product page. The Hull D is not a ship you should describe as self-sufficient in dangerous space. It needs planning.

The Hull D can make a trading organization more capable, but it also creates risk because a loaded Hull D is exactly the kind of target pirates want to find.

Hull D vs Hull C vs Hull E

The Hull D sits in the middle of the large Hull-series freight ladder. It is bigger than the Hull C, but not as extreme as the Hull E.

Ship Best For Main Difference
Hull C Large freight with more manageable operation Better for players who want serious cargo but less scale and risk than the Hull D.
Hull D Organization-scale heavy freight Better for mid-sized cargo groups that want much more capacity than Hull C.
Hull E Maximum superfreighter logistics Much larger and more corporate-scale, but slower, riskier, and more demanding.

RSI’s Hull D Q&A explains this trade-off directly: as more cargo space is added in the Hull lineup, speed and maneuverability are compromised; the Hull D is for pilots who want to move a lot of cargo but do not want to operate as slowly and methodically as the Hull E.

Cargo Containers and Modularity Notes

The Hull D is part of a modular freight ecosystem. RSI’s Hull D Q&A says cargo containers are separate and often loaned when accepting cargo runs, with options to configure a Hull ship with different container types for different roles.

Official Hull-series material also describes the standardized spindle as able to attach many types of cargo containers, including standard containers and specialized units for liquids, perishables, dispatch parcels, livestock, and more. It also discusses expansion ports that can support non-cargo add-ons, though with trade-offs in cargo capacity.

The Hull D is designed around modular freight container gameplay, but exact container options and role modules should be treated as future-system expectations until fully implemented.

Hull D vs Other Star Citizen Cargo Ships

Ship Fleet Option Primary Core Role Compared with Hull DHull D
Hull C Heavy Freight The Hull C is more manageable and already closer to current cargo gameplay. The Hull D is much larger and more organization-focused.
Hull E Superfreighter The Hull E carries far more cargo, but it is much more demanding. The Hull D is the more practical large-org middle ground.
C2 Hercules Internal Heavy Cargo / Vehicle Transport The C2 is much better for vehicles, ground loading, and current practical hauling. The Hull D is much stronger for bulk station freight.
Starlancer MAX Long-Range Cargo The Starlancer MAX is smaller, more comfortable, and easier for solo/small crews. The Hull D is for large-scale logistics.
Ironclad Armored Heavy Freight The Ironclad is better for protected internal cargo and vehicle-style utility. The Hull D is about external bulk capacity.
Caterpillar Modular Cargo / Utility The Caterpillar is more flexible and easier to use casually. The Hull D is much larger and more specialized.
Constellation Taurus Cargo / Multi-Role The Taurus is better for solo-friendly cargo and general missions. The Hull D is a major logistics asset.
Merchantman Trading Bazaar / Heavy Freight The Merchantman has mobile-market and alien trade identity. The Hull D is a more direct MISC bulk freight platform.

Hull D vs Hull C

The Hull C is better for players who want a more manageable heavy freight ship and a cargo experience closer to current gameplay. The Hull D is better for players and organizations that want much larger future freight capacity and are willing to accept more planning, risk, crew needs, and infrastructure dependency. Choose the Hull C for more practical heavy cargo. Choose the Hull D for long-term organization-scale logistics.

Hull D vs C2 Hercules

The C2 Hercules is better for current flexible cargo gameplay, internal loading, vehicle transport, and ground-based delivery routes. The Hull D is better for future bulk station freight and large-scale cargo movement through major logistics corridors. Choose the C2 if you want a practical current cargo ship. Choose the Hull D if you want a future-focused capital freight platform.

Hull D vs Hull E

The Hull E is the larger superfreighter choice for players who want the maximum Hull-series cargo fantasy. The Hull D is smaller, less extreme, and easier to understand as a mid-to-large organization freight asset. Choose the Hull E if you want the largest possible MISC superfreighter concept. Choose the Hull D if you want a heavy freight ship that sits between the Hull C and Hull E.

Hull D Strengths and Limitations

Strategic Strengths Operational Limitations
6,912 SCU cargo capacity gives the Hull D very large freight potential. In Development, so buyers should treat it as a long-term pledge.
Clear fit for organization-scale trade and logistics. Not a practical daily driver.
Sits between Hull C and Hull E in the large freight ladder. Less maneuverable and more demanding than Hull C.
Long-haul cargo identity supports multi-jump trade routes. Requires planning, escort, and route safety.
External spindle system supports specialized freight container concepts. Not suited for internal vehicle transport or casual ground loading.
Clear mercantile flagship identity for cargo-focused orgs. A fully loaded Hull D will be a major pirate target.
Crew and escort gameplay can create real logistics operations. Solo use is possible in concept, but not efficient or safe for full-value operation.

Who Should Buy the Hull D?

The Hull D is best for players who want a long-term cargo ship for large-scale freight and organization logistics. It is especially suitable for cargo-focused organizations, trade fleet planners, industrial groups, convoy players, and players who want to build a commercial operation around bulk hauling.

It is also a good choice for players who feel the Hull C is not large enough, but who do not want the full commitment of the Hull E. The Hull D gives a useful middle point: very large capacity, capital-scale presence, and clear cargo identity without being the absolute largest freighter in the series.

Players who want current practical hauling should consider the Hull C, C2 Hercules, Starlancer MAX, Taurus, or Caterpillar. Players who want vehicle transport should not choose the Hull D as their main ship. But for players who want a future-focused heavy freighter and organization logistics asset, the Hull D is one of the more important MISC ships in Star Citizen.

Hull D FAQ

Is the Hull D worth buying in Star Citizen?

The Hull D is worth buying if you want a long-term heavy freight ship for bulk cargo, organization logistics, and large-scale trade routes. It is not ideal for players who want a current daily ship, vehicle transport, or solo-friendly cargo gameplay.

Is the Hull D Flight Ready?

No. RSI’s current Hull D page lists the ship as In Development. Product pages should avoid calling it Flight Ready and should position it as a long-term heavy freight pledge.

What is the main role of the Hull D?

The Hull D’s main role is heavy freight. It is designed to move very large cargo loads across long-distance routes, especially as part of commercial or organization logistics operations.

How much cargo does the Hull D have?

The Hull D is listed with 6,912 SCU cargo capacity in official RSI technical reference material. This makes it much larger than the Hull C and far beyond most internal-cargo ships.

How big is the Hull D?

Official technical reference lists the Hull D at 209m length, 70m beam, and 70m height, with a capital-size classification.

How many crew does the Hull D need?

Official technical reference lists the Hull D with 3 minimum crew and 5 maximum crew. Older Q&A also says solo operation was intended to be possible through the captain seat, but crew support is strongly recommended, especially for defense and cargo operations.

Can the Hull D be used solo?

The Hull D may be movable solo in concept, but it should not be marketed as solo-efficient. Its size, cargo value, defensive needs, and cargo workflow make it much better for a crew or organization.

Can the Hull D land fully loaded?

Official Hull-series material says all Hull ships can make planetary landings while contracted, but the Hull C, D, and E typically deposit cargo at automated orbital yards before landing to dock. That means the Hull D should not be sold as a fully loaded ground-landing cargo ship.

Is the Hull D better than the Hull C?

The Hull D is better if you want much more cargo capacity and organization-scale logistics. The Hull C is better if you want a more manageable heavy freight ship. Choose Hull C for easier operation. Choose Hull D for larger trade operations.

Should I choose the Hull D or Hull C?

Choose the Hull C if you want a more manageable heavy freight ship that is easier to understand for current cargo gameplay and smaller crew planning. Choose the Hull D if you want much larger future cargo capacity, organization-scale logistics, and a heavier long-haul freight role. The Hull C is the more practical heavy freight choice, while the Hull D is the bigger long-term logistics asset.

Is the Hull D better than the Hull E?

The Hull E is larger and offers the biggest superfreighter fantasy, but it is also more demanding. RSI’s Q&A positions the Hull D as a choice for pilots who want to move a lot of cargo without going as slow and methodical as the Hull E.

Is the Hull D better than the C2 Hercules?

The Hull D is better for bulk station freight and long-haul logistics. The C2 Hercules is better for current internal cargo, vehicle transport, ground loading, and practical gameplay. Choose the Hull D for future large-scale freight. Choose the C2 for current flexible cargo use.

Can the Hull D carry vehicles?

The Hull D should not be sold as a vehicle transport ship. It uses an external cargo spindle system and is built for freight containers, not internal ground-vehicle loading. Players who want vehicle transport should look at the C2 Hercules, M2 Hercules, Ironclad, Valkyrie, or Liberator.

Does the Hull D need escorts?

Yes, escorts are strongly recommended outside safe space. RSI’s Hull D description says its bulk means it should be operated with escort fighters when not in safe space. A loaded Hull D is a very valuable target.

Does the Hull D have good long-term value?

Yes, the Hull D has useful long-term value for cargo-focused players and organizations. Its role is clear: very large bulk freight, long-haul logistics, and commercial fleet operations. Its main limitation is that it is still in development and will require planning, crew, escorts, and proper cargo infrastructure to use well.
